I saw this weird video.  In the video, a man (presumably French) displays a new device that shows 3D without the use of glasses.  To replace shutter glasses, he just blinks very quickly.  Somehow, i doubt the legitimacy of this invention.

Today, I went shopping for some Boxing Day sales.  The first store I went to was Best Buy, but I did not see anything worth purchasing.  There were good deals, but the deals were not on anything I needed.  Next I went to NCIX, and my friend purchased a computer.  He got a good deal, but he wanted to purchase Windows 7.  I advised him not to, as Linux is by far the best operating system.  I did not purchase anything from NCIX.  Finally I went to Superstore, where I purchased lots of blowout chocolate, and Mountain Dew.  I shared the chocolate with my family.  My family was quite satisfied with the purchase.

Currently, a charity called the Humble Indie Bumble over at http://www.humblebundle.com/ are practically giving away five games, for however much the purchaser wants to pay for the games.  The proceeds of the sales go towards a charity, and the purchaser of the games is allowed to specify which charities he would like to donate to.  This is a good idea, and I suggest you all go buy the game pack.

On a sidenote, if we look at how much money people donated, and separate these people by the OS they use, Linux is by far the most willing to give.  A possible reason behind this is because Linux users normally dislike DRM.

Today, I decided to give Minecraft a try, after a friend told me about it.  Basically in Minecraft, the player builds whatever he wants, using blocks.  Players normally build art or buildings, and after a while the environment of Minecraft gets very busy.  Some players spend a lot of time on their creations.

What I did in Minecraft was create art.  I drew a picture of Doraemon onto a graph paper, then I proceeded to make it in Minecraft.  After about a half hour of work, I finally had my Doraemon.  Unfortunately, I made a mistake somewhere, so the sides are not parallel.

I remember playing a game similar to this a while back.  That game was called Blockland.  Instead of blocks, you had Lego pieces.  It was loads of fun, until it left beta.  After it left beta, the creators of Blockland decided to charge a monetary fee in order to play.  I did not want to pay, so I just stopped playing Blockland.

I found this great place for pho near my house, and I got some food from there.

Pho is a staple in Vietnamese cuisine and culture. Pho is a soup that has either a beef or chicken flavored broth. The broth is prepared by boiling beef or chicken bones for hours along with spices such as ginger, cloves, star anise, cinnamon and cardamom. Bean sprouts, fresh limes, thai basil, mint, hoison sauce, chili sauce (sriracha) and fish sauce are usually always an accompaniment.

The Pho that I ordered at Thanh Da came served with slices of rare beef and beef tripe. There are many other pieces of meat that can be served in the broth like flank, brisket, tendon..etc. image
I also ordered another fave…the summer roll. So fresh and light, it is the perfect starter to your pho dinner. Rice paper wrapped around pork slices, cooked shrimp, rice noodles, fresh herbs, and fresh vegetables such as carrots, cucumbers and scallions. The rolls are traditionally served with a peanut sauce.
Having had both of these dishes before I had to try something new, that’s where I got the durian shake idea. I have had durian once before while backpacking through Southeast Asia and I thought it was one of the strangest things I have put into my mouth. I wont lie, when I got the shake I was a little hesitant..but after summoning up the courage I went for it…um….UNBELIEVABLE!!!  So refreshing, tasty and flavorful! I guess since I didn’t have to deal with the texture of the raw fruit the flavor really came through and I loved it! It was the perfect ending to my Vietnamese meal. For anyone who has never had pho or summer rolls..please do so and for those who have not had durian shakes do it now!
Hello everyone.

After a long time of wanting to start a blog, I have finally done so.  It is the beginning of the winter break, so I had another two weeks to accomplish nothing.  I thought "this would not do", so I decided to make use of my time and start a blog.

This blog will basically be my diary, I will write about my events in the real world.  Unfortunately, nothing happens in real life, so I don't normally get to write about much.
